"Errington CARES" Kindness Focus from February 13th - 26th

At our Pro-D Day on January 27th, our staff:

  • Reviewed the data collected from our Student Survey on our CARES acronym and their sense of belonging.
  • Explored ways to help our students to develop their social responsibility through the use of the CARES acronym
  • Discussed ways for us to teach our students to be kind to one another - in classrooms and throughout the school.

Our Social Responsibility Committee met in early February and proposed that we school-wide focus on being kind and on teaching our students about our new CARES acronym from "Valentine's Friendship Day" on February 13th (due to Feb 14th being a Pro-D Day) until Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday February 26th

Our staff will be teaching friendship skills, promoting ways to be kind and helping our students learn about our “CARES” acronym. We are look forwarding to Pink Shirt Day on February 26th as we celebrate our Kindness focus and teach our students how they can help us make a difference in the lives of others and work together to prevent bullying from happening within the Errington community.
