Each week throughout the year, classes take turns doing grounds clean-up on the school grounds.  From time to time, our students also expand their community service by going out to local parks, beaches and neighborhood streets.  The attached photo captures a group of grade 2/3 students, who along with their teacher and a couple parents, using tongs, buckets and garbage bags, were able to help make our community a cleaner environment for all to enjoy!  While doing so, students are learning to take responsibility and make a contribution towards their community.  Students also tallied the types of garbage collected to form an analyses of community habits and product usage.
