Students are Inspired by Day of Truth and Reconciliation

In response to the Day of Truth and Reconciliation this past September, Errington students were inspired to create an amazing collaborative art project.  Every student in the school took time and care to colour a feather to be added to our "Errington Eagle" collage, displayed in the main hallway of the school.  This display was created as a symbol of our recognition for Indigenous Peoples in our community, their contributions and influences on all of us and their territory upon which we live, work and learn.  The eagle feathers were later transferred into a picture frame that is now hanging in the school office.

Through this experience, students learned more about the history of the region we call Richmond and about the First People's Principles of Learning.
