Collectively, we see a need to further develop our learners reading foundations. In an effort to capture what specific reading areas need to be explored, we administered a reading assessment (RFRA) to all classes in mid-October 2025. Gathering this data is essential as it will act as our baseline data to help us see how our learners progress across the school year with explicit, targeted support. A final assessment in May will allow for us to further analyze our lesson sequences and growth over time.

Teachers have looked closely at the data and have decided that they want to choose a targeted reading goal based on their class data versus working toward a school-wide reading approach.
