What's Up @Errington June 24th to 28th

Dear Errington Eagle Families,

What a fantastic day we had today!  Sports Day was a huge success in large part to the teamwork of staff and the Grade 7 student leaders!  A big Thank You to all involved!

It was wonderful to see so many parents and families picnicking and enjoying the student activities.  It was a highlight to see the Parents best the School Staff in the annual Tug-O-War competition.  Perhaps we need to invest in a trophy to acknowledge the winner .  In the end the one week delay definitely appeared to pay off!

We have arrived upon the final week of the school year which is always bitter sweet.  We have much to celebrate and then there is the need to say farewell to our Grade 7s and several staff members as well.  We look forward to the opportunity to recognize all the people and their contributions to the school both this year and over the many years that they have been a part of our school community.

Monday morning is the PARENT APPRECIATION Mix and Mingle, beginning at 8:15a.  We have gathered some senior student leaders to watch younger students on the playground if parents are planning to attend and were concerned about supervision.  Please bring your child to the Playground after 8:15a and let the students in Safety Vests know that you are leaving your child.  The Assembly for the Year End will begin at 9:00a and all families are welcome to attend.

Please note that Thursday is the Final Day of the school year for children.  The Year End Learning Updates will be published on MyEd by 3:00p that day.  If families require a printed copy, please email errington@sd38.bc.ca with your child’s name and division number.  Printed copies will be available for pick-up from Wednesday, July 3rd to Friday July 5th.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful, restful and adventure filled summer time.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Errington and look forward to what new challenges await in September.  For families that are leaving the Errington Community at the end of this school year we wish you all the best for your next chapter and thank you for being a part of us, once an Errington Eagle, always an Errington Eagle!

As always: Be safe, be active and get outside!

Regards,
