What's Up @Errington May 6th to 10th

Dear Errington Eagle Families,

Please join me in congratulating Ms. Diane Chong on her 25 Years of work with the Richmond School District.  Ms. Chong has been on staff at Errington for all of that time as a member of our Noon Hour Supervisor Team; she has supported generations of Errington Eagle Students.  From Hot Dog Days to countless other fundraising activities, Ms. Chong has poured her heart and soul into our school. WE THANK HER VERY MUCH!

(she made me promise to mention that I have been with the District for the same 25 years too)

Next Thursday is an exciting day at the school as we send our Grade 7s off to Steveston London Secondary for their first experience at High School and at the same time we welcome our new Kindergarten students and families for the first time for activities and a school tour.

The next PAC Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd.  Please consider joining us in person or online to find out about how you might be able to support PAC activities for next year.  We have several parents who have been long time leaders in our Parent Community and their children will be leaving Errington.  We need new parents to learn from the current group and take our Parent Council into the future.

Please see the attached flyer for a parent information session regarding “Cybersafe from Exploitation”.  The grade 6 and 7 students had an opportunity to hear from the presenters recently and I think that they learned a great deal.  It was very eye opening to hear the stories and the statistics.  I hope you are able to find the time to join this online presentation offered through the Richmond School District.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Be safe, be active and get outside!

Regards,
