What's Up @Errington December 11th to 15th
Dear Errington Eagle Families,
We had an exciting week here at the school! Our Hip Hop Program entered it’s second week and students have really taken off with their dance steps. The Student vs Staff Volleyball Game was lots of fun and the younger students had a great time cheering on the Grade 6/7s. The teachers squeaked out a hard fought win.
We are really hoping that we will see a great turn out for the annual Family Skate on Tuesday afternoon. Families are welcome to join the School Community at Minoru Arena from 4:00p until 5:00p. Younger or older siblings and parents are welcome to skate! Minoru Arena has skate rentals that are included at no cost. Helmets are available and recommended. Thank you to the PAC for supporting this annual Winter Tradition!
On Friday we are hosting parents for our Hip Hop Presentation Assemblies. Each family will be provided with tickets for either or both the Primary or Intermediate Performances, depending on the age of your child(ren). The students are working hard and looking forward to showing off what they have learned.
We want to update families about some new bells at the school and morning routines. The important change you will “hear” is a new bell just before 8:40a, which alerts everyone that the school day is starting shortly. Between 8:40a and 8:45a classroom teachers collect their students at the coordinated door or will open their exterior classroom door for students to come in. There will be a second bell just before 8:45a that acts as a second reminder for students and staff that the day is starting. Students arriving after 8:45a do need to come through the front doors of the school to check in at the office. Teachers take attendance first thing in the morning and so late students are marked absent until they check-in. By checking in, the office staff will update the attendance for the class and not call families to find out why a student is absent, when they are in fact at school. Thank you for your efforts to get your children to school prior to the start of the day. When children arrive in time and can start the day organized and settled they have more successful learning experiences!

We would like to wish all the best to our families who are observing Hanukkah at this time.
Enjoy the weekend ahead!
