What's Up @Errington Nov 13th to 17th

Dear Errington Eagle Families,

First off is a thank you to all the family members that were able to join us for our Remembrance Assembly this morning.  It was a beautiful ceremony, and it was an honour to share it with so many of you.  The message of Peace seems particularly important at this time in the world.  My hope is that each of us can strive to be the kindest version of ourselves and follow the idea that “peace begins with me.”  Please take time tomorrow morning to participate in a Community Remembrance Ceremony as a family or pause and have a moment of silence at 11:00a.

The Eagle Grade 6/7 Volleyball Team played some hard fought matches at Whiteside on Wednesday and they continue to represent the school with great effort and a positive sporting attitude.  GO EAGLES!!

Thank you to all the families that are choosing to use the Crosswalk or walk around the Traffic Circle at the north end and avoid crossing the line of moving cars, it is feeling much safer.  The next thought we have at the school is for our families with Intermediate aged students to consider dropping off on Herbert Road and having their children walk in from there.  It would serve to reduce the overall volume of traffic in the circle and help move things along a little better.  It is a whole community effort that is needed to get the children to school safely and on time for learning, anything that you can do to help your children and other families is appreciated!!

Please see the attached poster regarding a Childcare Survey from the City of Richmond.  They are seeking input from as many families as possible.

Lastly, we have organized the current LOST and FOUND in the front lobby, please direct your child(ren) to take a look to find their belongings.  After Friday Nov 17th we will be donating the leftover items.  Parents are encouraged to look as well in hopes of reuniting children with their coats, shoes, etc.

Enjoy the long weekend ahead!

Be safe, be active and get outside,
